About this event

The Twelfth Bach Network Dialogue Meeting will be held at the historic house of Madingley Hall, Cambridge, UK, with the programme running from 2pm on Monday 6 July to 5pm on Thursday 9 July 2026.

The schedule is designed with generous open discussion time, to give every delegate an opportunity to engage with the subjects. There will also be leisurely time to continue discussions informally between scheduled events.

The programme is currently in development, and will be made available here upon completion.

Accommodation Reservations

We have arranged a preferential rate: single room, including breakfast, costs £80 per night, a double/twin room for two occupants, including breakfast, costs £110 per night. To reserve your accommodation please write directly to Benton Froc (froc.bachnetwork@gmail.com) stating the dates of your stay, the number of nights, and the type of room. You will be charged on check-in at Madingley Hall.

Cancellations for accommodation must be made 48 hours before arrival, or be liable to pay for one night. Reservations for accommodations at Madingley Hall must be received no later than 15 June 2026.

Dialogue Fee

The Dialogue Fee is for the entirety of the Dialogue Meeting, and includes all lunches, Monday evening meal, Tuesday evening BBQ, and teas, coffees, and cakes every day. This is paid through the Eventbrite link to the side of this page. Paying Bach Network directly by bank transfer is also possible - please write to froc.bachnetwork@gmail.com for bank details.

An early bird fee of £225 is available for those who register by 28 February 2026. After this date, the full rate of £265 will be applicable. A two-day fee of £180 is also available for those who will be attending only two days of the Dialogue Meeting.

Deadline for payment of the Dialogue Fee is 20 June 2026.

Refund Policy

In the unlikely event of the outright cancellation or postponement of the 2026 Dialogue Meeting, registered delegates would receive a full refund of their Dialogue Fee, less the administrative fees associated with ticketing through Eventbrite.

Registered delegates wishing to cancel attendance for personal reasons may do so up to 14 days before the start of the meeting. After this date (22 June 2026), we are unfortunately unable to issue a refund.

Flash Announcement Session

The Flash Announcements session will be organised in advance, arranged thematically, and names and topics included on the full programme. If you are interested in participating in this session, please email Benton Froc with a (c. 6–8-words) short title and a two sentence description of your topic

Transport links to Cambridge

All train and coach connections from British airport to Cambridge can be found on Trainline (https://www.thetrainline.com/). Select '0 changes' for direct routes. Coach times can be seen if you select 'All Tickets'. The coach option is generally much cheaper.

Sample journey times and prices:

From London Heathrow to Cambridge

- By train: Every half hour, starting at 8:20am (approx. 2 hours with 1 change; cost of £29.90)

- By coach: 8:30, 10:30, 11:05, 13:05, and 13:30 (approx. 2.5 hours with 0 changes; cost of £24.00)

Madingley Hall is roughly four miles (6km) from Cambridge railway station and can be reached within minutes by taxi for approximately £15. There is a taxi rank outside the station - all taxi fares in Cambridge are regulated.

We are planning to facilitate transport sharing from Madingley Hall to Cambridge Station or to the airports on Thursday after the meeting if delegates are travelling at similar times. A shared taxi to the airports is faster and often cheaper for three people than taxi and train for three.
