Each week, join Lily Holder for a new class exploring the fundamental skills essential to any life drawing practise.Week One - How to Draw a Person:Our idea of the perfect 'first ever Life Drawing class'. Suitable for total beginners or more experienced artists looking to refresh their skills, join us to talk about observation, gesture, and the fun &amp; frustration of drawing from life!We'll be stripping everything right back to focus on the fundamental skills that build confidence in drawing from a model. After this class, you'll be prepared to join any of our weekly figure drawing classes.About our Tutor:Lily Holder is an Artist, Model and Educator based in South East London. Lily has been a part of the LDG story since modelling for one of our first ever Life Drawing classes at Lewisham Art House in 2016 and very swiftly becoming a regular model and collaborator of ours.Lily is passionate about drawing from the figure and is particularly interested in the collaborative relationship between Artist and Model. Perfect.YOU WILL NEED:<ul><li>Paper, we recommend A3 and above to allow for expressive, flowing lines.</li><li>Something to draw with! We love charcoal at LDG but you can also experiment with pencils, pen, soft pastels, oil pastels etc - whatever you have in your home!</li></ul>ETIQUETTE:Online Life Drawing requires trust on both sides of the camera and our priority at LDG is keeping our life models safe and comfortable whilst working online. The majority of our life models will be working semi-clothed, however, occasionally a model may feel more comfortable to perform their job nude. If it is important for you to know this information in advance of the class, please drop us an email. Please note that taking screenshots, recordings, or reference images during class is not permitted or appropriate.TICKETS:We suggest an amount of £20. However, we understand that may not be possible for everybody. Please be honest and pay what you can afford so that we may continue to offer our sessions on this basis whilst also giving our tutors a sustainable wage.There is also a ticket option to "Pay It Forward" to support us and our students! We offer classes for free to those who can't afford the minimum amount (If this is you please email us to join for free). This continues to ensure our classes are available to everyone!ONCE BOOKED:You will receive a confirmation email and be able to access information on how to join the event via your eventbrite "Online Event Page" You can access this by signing into eventbrite or creating an account using the email address that you booked with.IN THE CLASS:You can't be seen or heard in our classes, your audio and video are automatically turned off and there's no way these can be turned on. You can talk to us and others in the class in the chat box!AFTER CLASS:We love to see your drawings or anything else our classes inspire!
