This online session takes you back to the basics of identifying and supporting young carers. It is designed for professionals outside of education settings – for example, those working in health, social care, youth and community services, or the voluntary sector across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
You will leave with a clear understanding of:
- Who young carers are – and the impact caring responsibilities can have on their wellbeing, development, and future opportunities.
- How to recognise them – practical signs and situations where a young person may be a carer.
- How to respond – simple, effective steps you can take to provide support in your role.
- Where to find help – information about Centre 33’s offer for young carers and young adult carers in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
