Course dates: 21st July - 30th July
Days off Thurs 24 and Fri 25th, final exam on Weds 30th July. Participants must be able to attend all workshop dates.

Times: 9AM - 5PM
Location: Bath Distric Scouts HQ, 7 Grove Street, Bath, UK
Cost: £300 (exam costs included), deposit upon booking

You will learn the fundamentals of safe and effective dramatic combat involving both swordplay and unarmed fighting. You’ll work on developing the tools an actor will need to keep themselves and a partner safe during moments of violence. This course will teach you how to blend text and violence culminating in a fight scene performance.

This course is suitable for people with no previous stage combat experience or prior British Academy of Dramatic Combat (BADC) qualifications. Upon successful completion you will gain a standard level certification with the BADC.

Russell Eccleston is an instructor with the British Academy of Dramatic Combat and has worked closely with Apricity Theatre as a fight director on shows including Between the Armies, The Breach, and There's Nothing There. He is excited to be able to bring this course to life and offer actors the chance to expand their skill set and gain an industry recognised qualification.

"a baseball bat swinging, throat throttling roller coaster of a heated battle. The fight choreographers made the most of the actors physical abilities to create gripping sequences that the actors appear to relish and offered the audience some well deserved “oo" inducing moments." - Paise for Russell Eccleston's fight choreography in Between The Armies (365 Bristol)

Non-refundable deposit of £100 payable on booking and you will be contacted with details of the remaining payment on booking.
