Overview

Volunteer Conservation Work Party in Badock's Wood undertaking a range of conservation tasks. Takes place monthly

Friends of Badock's Wood Conservation Work Party. Conservation tasks may include coppicing, non native plant management, pond management etc. The tasks will be different each month.

These Conservation Work Parties take place once a month - usually on the Second Saturday of each month, meeting at 10.30 and usually last approximately 2 hours.

If you have your own loppers, secateurs, garden spades, etc and gardening gloves please bring them otherwise we will supply them.

Please wear stout shoes and suitable clothing for working in the wood or by the pond. If you bring your own tools please label them clearly with your name. If you have your own work / gardening gloves you are advised to bring them as they will fit you best.

Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell particularly if you are showing signs of Covid.

No experience of coppicing or other practical conservation work necessary you will be given instruction.

(If you wish to bring children under 16 years old, we need to be notified in advance and they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who takes full responsibility for them.)
