BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, CyNam and BSides Cheltenham are running a Capture the Flag event: an evening of hands-on cyber security challenges and games. Anyone with an appetite for solving real cyber problems is welcome to come along!
The competition is being held in Hub8 in Cheltenham’s Brewery Quarter. Attendees can come along from 18:00, with the competition starting promptly at 18:30 and finishing by 22:00. All you need to bring is yourself and a laptop. We’ll provide the other essential CTF components – WiFi, pizza, drinks and prizes. The BAE CTF team will be around to provide hints and tips on the challenges, while our friends from CyNam and BSides Cheltenham will also be around to talk about the great work they do in the Cheltenham Cyber Security community.
This is a team-based challenge for teams of 2 to 5 players. If you don’t have a team then don’t worry – come along anyway as teams will be created on the day.  The challenges will involve breaking into vulnerable websites, cracking ciphers, forensic searches, reverse engineering and much more. No previous experience of these kinds of challenge is necessary; they are designed for people who like taking things apart and seeing how they work.
If you'd like to play, please register for a space. If you’re bringing a team to play, please make sure everyone registers! The deadline for signing up is Monday 1st December and places are limited.
