About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Jock Gibson is a farmer and butcher based in Moray, running Edinvale Farm and Macbeth’s Butchers in Forres. Edinvale has been in his family since 1974, and Jock has been working to make the farm more environmentally friendly, focusing on pasture-based livestock farming with Highland and Beef Shorthorn cattle. His goal is to reach carbon neutrality by 2030.

Jock is passionate about responsible farming and connecting people with where their food comes from. Through the years, he has learnt a lot about how different farming methods impact the soil and has witnessed increased biodiversity through the methods he has adopted. Join us for an evening where Jock will share his knowledge and experience around raising cattle and biodiversity.

If you would like to stay afterwards, a wee pot of food will be prepped by Hannah from Gut Feelings, so there will be plenty of time for discussion.

This event is free due to funding from The Finderene Development Trust. If you are able to take along £5-£10 to donate towards running more events like this it would be greatly appreciated.
