Band basics - playing with others

Playing on your own at home is one thing - joining others in a rehearsal room or onstage is something else entirely! This workshop will help you make that transition. From tuning to timing, from tone to technique, there's a lot to think about when playing in a band. Experienced musician and educator Dan Shaw is here to guide you through it in a gentle and encouraging way. This workshop is aimed at beginner to intermediate musicians.

Dan Shaw is the Course Leader of Music at Strode College in Street, Somerset. He has a wealth of experience as a solo artist, band member and as a music educator. Dan is one of the core team at Blues in the Pews, playing in the house band and leading workshops for aspiring musicians.
