Over the course of 3 hours, our hand-picked speakers will be considering the challenges of good ergonomics practice in branches, trading floors, call centres and other environments.
This free-to-attend event will take place on at our offices on Leadenhall Street. Breakfast will be included
Talk Overviews:
How big changes in banking have affected ergonomics, health and wellbeing
Juliet Raine, physiotherapist and ergonomics consultant, will take you on a journey through different roles, looking specifically at how tasks have changed and what this has meant for employees within bank branches. She will provide an insight into the demands placed on the human body and how these demands have changed as the workload has evolved. This will enable you to understand why a focus on health and well-being must be a central aspect in branch design and in the evolution of policy and procedure. Simple ways to future-proof the business, facilitate a positive safety culture, overcome the challenges in any change management process and improve the health and well-being of employees will be discussed.
Ergonomics in trading environments
DAS Business Furniture, market leaders in the design and manufacture of trading desks for over 30 years, will deliver a talk in conjunction with long term partners Colebrook Bosson Saunders, covering many aspects of ergonomics on trading floors. The world of trading is seeing huge change, particularly with the advent of modern screen technology and the ways in which traders process information. DAS and CBS will discuss all things ergonomics in trading environments, covering the latest trends in monitor support, agile working, sit-stand working and the integration of technology in the workplace.
Banking ergonomics solutions
Jon Abbott will discuss the latest banking ergonomics solution from Cardinus Risk Management. Covering office employees, trading floor employees, bank branch employees and call centre employees, it's a holistic software solution to solve the problems of ergonomics training and risk assessments for staff operating in diverse bank environments.
We will also be answering questions and responding to your specific queries about all the talks. So have your questions ready!
