Bantham Beach Painting Workshop

Hello! I'm Ellie Verrecchia, contemporary seascapes artist, honoured to have had paintings exhibited at leading British coastal art galleries, and inspired by the sky, sea and stone of the coast. I live and work from my studio in South Devon, near Bantham beach. My work and studies regularly take me into Cornwall and I’m also a Tresco artist, connected to the Isles of Scilly through my work with Gallery Tresco and the wider islands community.

Bantham Beach Car Park

Make your own coastal painting at beautiful Bantham beach, guided by local seascapes artist Ellie Verrecchia. The golden sand and the sound of the waves will inspire a painting on wood panel for you to take home.Using simple techniques we 'll create our painting in quick-drying acrylic, based on our obeservations of the horizon, iconic land forms (including Burgh island) and sea from our shoreline vantage point.No previous art experience is necessary. Artist Ellie Verrechia has plenty of simple hacks to help you see the South Devon coast in new ways!All materials and aprons are provided. Dress for the weather - old comfy clothes ideal, and bring waterproofs, sun protection, something to sit on, and a drink. There is usually a cafe on site, and toilets nearby. Please note - parking is payable on arrival (card only).WHERE TO MEET - We meet promptly at 10am on the right hand side of the car park, near the side dunes. I always carry my large blue bucket of art materials and wear an apron to help you spot me!
