This playful, one-hour session will:
- Immerse you in an outdoor exploratory bug hunt, just as your learners would experience it
- Model the facilitator’s role in supporting free play while encouraging child-led curiosity and respectful engagement with nature
- Show how play can meet Curriculum for Excellence outcomes and enhance well-being through practical, meaningful learning
- Provide a foundation in play theory, the Play Work Principles, and the GIRFEC through Play framework
- Spark reflection through guided questions that explore the benefits, challenges, and advocacy for free play in education
- Offer resources and real-time modelling to help you confidently lead similar sessions in your own setting
