Barr Beacon Tiny Forest Visit

Barr Beacon Local Nature ReserveWalsall, England
Tuesday, Mar 3 from 11 am to 1 pm GMT
Overview

Come and help to measure and monitor the trees in this beautiful Tiny Forest within the Barr Beacon Local Nature Reserve

Join us at the Tiny Forest in Barr Beacon LNR and help us collect valuable data about our young trees!

Venue: The Tiny Forest is at What3word location: ///pumps.result.stove

Time: 11am - 1pm

Date: 03.03.26

No experience or equipment is needed — we’ll show you everything on the day.

During the session, we’ll measure the height and width of selected trees using simple tools like a tape measure and callipers. You can submit your findings directly to Earthwatch Europe using your mobile phone by scanning the QR code on site. If you’d prefer not to use your phone, paper recording sheets will be available.

Please bring your own refreshments and keep an eye on the weather forecast. The ground may be uneven, so sturdy footwear is advised.

This is a great opportunity to get outdoors, meet like‑minded people, and enjoy the wellbeing benefits of spending time in nature.

Please note: I will email a risk assessment to the person who signs up for the event. If you're booking on someone else's behalf, please make sure you forward the information and any advice to them.
