Basic bicycle maintenance [Central Manchester]

Transport for Greater Manchester

Our Cycle Maintenance starter course will give you the knowledge to check your bike is safe to ride and enable you to cope if you have a problem whilst out and about. It is best to bring your own bike but let us know if you need one providing. The course lasts around two hours and our qualified instructor might cover;

<LI>Things you should check before each ride</LI>
<LI>Simple adjustments – e.g. brakes and gears to make sure they work smoothly and safely</LI>
<LI>What tools you might need and how to use them</LI>
<LI>How to mend punctures</LI>
<LI>Cleaning and lubrication</LI>
