Basic Bread Workshop

Hello. We're an award-winning bakery set in the foot of the Malvern Hills. On a mission to share the joys of RealBread with Ledbury and beyond. We're passionate about making bread that tastes great, is good for you and helps the local community. Every loaf that comes out of our oven is made slowly by hand, using just four natural ingredients - flour, water, yeast (mostly wild) and sea salt.Surrounded by orchards of apples and pears, we're also working with local producers to create a range of unique loaves dedicated to showing off the very best of Herefordshire.Find out more atwww.petercooksbread.co.uk

This hands-on workshop will see you elbow deep in dough as you master the art of kneading, while understanding what's going on inside your dough. No previous baking experience is required.
We'll guide you through the basics, step-by-step, with the grand finale of watching your bread rising in the oven.
And while we're at it, we'll explain just what goes into your average supermarket loaf. Be warned, you'll never want to go back.
The workshop takes place in our commercial bakery at the Hop Pocket, just a short drive from Ledbury and Malvern.
You'll leave armed with a bag full of your own Real Bread and all the information and recipes you need to recreate it at home.
Refreshments and snacks will be provided throughout the day, along with a hearty lunch.
Maximum workshop size: 6
