<h1>What to expect?</h1>Many people don't know where to start with DIY and are unsure as to the right tools to use or how to use them. This session will introduce different tools and help you understand how to approach common tasks such as hanging your pictures / other items up -- as well as finding out about different types of walls and what fixings to use.This is a hands-on workshop where you will be guided through using the tools and putting them to use. No experience is necessary; our volunteers will walk you through every step at four different 'stations'. <h1>Important info</h1><h3>Beginners &amp; non-ETL members welcome!</h3>You do not need to be a member of the Edinburgh Tool Library to attend this session. However we recommend <a href="https://edinburghtoollibrary.org.uk/membership/" title="https://edinburghtoollibrary.org.uk/membership/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">joining ETL</a> so that you can borrow tools after the session and practice your new skills at home. <h3>Booking etiquette/cancellation</h3>If you book a space but can no-longer attend, please cancel your booking as soon as possible. Ideally, out of courtesy to our volunteers, at least 48 hours in advance, so that we can offer the spot to another beginner DIYer and make the most of the time volunteers are offering! <h3>The money raised goes back to your community</h3>Our volunteers are keen to offer free tickets to this class to those who need it. However, if you're able to support us with a donation we can ensure that we can carry on running similar projects across Edinburgh. Proof of eligibility won't be asked.**** NOTE: Please notify us before booking a ticket for a minor. The workshops at the Edinburgh Tool Library are for participants age 18 or over but we might welcome minors 15 - 17 when accompanied by a parent/guardian. We will consider if the workshop is appropriate for a minor and reserve the right to confirm or cancel the booking.
