Our Education and Development Team builds on our island wide reputation of providing professional care and services to members of our community who need healthcare or support.  Our team are from a wide range of professional backgrounds including Adult and Children’s Nursing, Specialist Nursing, Health Visiting and Safeguarding.  We provide training to approved care providers, organisations and  individuals to support regulation, clinical practice and care.We offer a wide range of courses which are delivered by high quality and credible professionals who are fully qualified and accredited to teach the topics.We are regulated by the Jersey Care Commission; all the training we deliver is compliant with their Standards, in addition to national frameworks and guidance. This enables organisations to remain compliant with relevant regulations and keep their teams up to date. Bespoke packages can be delivered on request. Courses are easy to access and run throughout the year.Bookings can be made via Eventbrite or by contacting us directly  via email EducationandDevelopment@fnhc.org.jePRIVACY STATEMENT – The information collected during the booking of any Family Nursing & Home Care education event will be used by us to update our training & attendance records, and the data will be stored on a secure portal where access is restricted to the our Education & Development Team. For all registered nurses, nursery nurses and SHCA’s working in health careWhy should you attend?To ensure that they are up do date with the current practical techniques and advice regarding Basic Life Support (BLS) What skills will you take away?· An understandimg of how to perform CPR following current guidelines and using current techniques.· Familiarity with the use of an AED.· Choking intervention.· A recap of current advice regarding the treatment of anaphylaxis in the community. What are the SMART learning outcomes for the course? Specific- You will receive a certificate in Basic Life SupportMeasurable- This course is delivered by a certified HCS cascade trainer.Achievable- During the session your knowledge and skills will be checked repeatedly to ensure they are imbedded.Relevant- The life saving techniques and information delivered is relevant to all.Time-Bound- Certification is valid for 1 year.
