<h2>BASIC WOODWORK CLASS - LEVEL TWO</h2><h3> at PERTH COMMUNITY FARM with IAN WATT</h3> - HAND TOOLS ONLY - OVER 18&#x27;S, WOMEN AND MEN WELCOME -This course follows on from our Basic Woodwork Level One, and is open to women and men who have done that level or who already have some experience of marking out, sawing, and using cordless drills to drill and fit screws. We&#x27;ll go over all that again through this next level and introduce some more tools and techniques.We&#x27;ll be working on a few different furniture or garden equipment projects together for practice, maybe a plant stand, stool, small table, or raised bed on legs, using some reclaimed wood and some green wood from the farm&#x27;s woodland, so gaining lots of experience of different materials and learning a bit about design. There&#x27;s just four spaces on the course so there&#x27;s plenty of individual attention. I always encourage people to work safely and carefully but in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.Wood is such an important element of the things we live with in our daily lives that learning how to work with it, especially from local sources, has to be one of the most important skills you could have in a sustainable future. I&#x27;ve come to the conclusion that abundant woodland and woodworking skills, along with food growing and gaining a better understanding of underlying natural processes, and working with them, are the backbone of our sustainable future.
