Not to worry! The space will be covered so you'll be nice and dry even in heavy rain. Always wear sensible clothing, however, as the pathways and avenues can be muddy and slippery in bad weather.

Have you ever thought of making your own basket and learning about ancient willow weaving techniques? This summer you will be able to make and keep your very own willow basket at Castle Bromwich Historic Gardens.

Join local artist Ildiko Nagy and an intimate group of fellow learners as you are taught how to make a basket using time-honoured techniques. During the all day, five-hour workshop will be guided through how to create a medium-small sized round basket following the stake and strand basketry technique. for a gentle and productive session ...

We'll be using brown willow and all tools will be provided.

Ideal for anyone interested in losing themselves in a craft which would have been commonplace to our forebears.

Tickets £65

All materials, tools are provided.

Your ticket also grants you unlimited tea and coffee provided in the workshop area AND 10% off food and drink from the cafe (voucher given at beginning of sesion).

Please arrive for 09:45 so that you can start in time for 10:00.

You're welcome to also bring your own food, if you wish.
