Join us in the search for elusive bats inhabiting  the woodlands!

Rushmoor Bottom

We invite you to listen and look out for bats during a guided walk through Wellesley Woodlands. We will bring some bat detectors to alter the audible frequency of bat calls so that we can hear them as we walk. The walk will occur just before dusk when bats are out foraging at their peak.This event is for all ages - anyone who is interested in listening and looking out for wildlife in the beautiful setting of Wellesley Woodlands.Please come dressed for the weather (it is a lot colder after sunset), and wear sturdy shoes. We will provide bat detectors that can be shared between small groups. Meeting Point: Please meet us at the Bourley Road Car Park. If you have issues finding us on the day please call 07764626884 or 07740 899 609 .How to get there by car: Keep driving to the end of Bourley road (past the right turns for Claycart road (near the Wellington Statue) and past the turning for Rushmoor road, and continue straight until you'll find the car park on your left before coming to the dead end. This is also the place where the sports pavilion is for the Rushmoor Saints Football club.
