Forget the snobbery, this is wine tasting TyneTipples style. Join Graeme and Liam, the brains (and questionable livers) behind local brand TyneTipples, as they host a night of laughs, stories, and of course plenty of great wine.

We’ll be throwing Old World classics up against bold New World contenders in a head-to-head for your taste buds. Expect reds, whites, and maybe even a cheeky rosé as we guide you through the flavours, history, and a fair bit of banter.

Whether you can tell your Chablis from your Chardonnay, or just fancy a fun night out with good company, this one’s for you.

Not at all. We keep things lighthearted and fun. Whether you’re a total beginner or a bit of a wine nerd, you’ll fit right in.

Who’s hosting the event?

Graeme and Liam, the duo behind local brand TyneTipples. We’ve built a following for our witty, down-to-earth take on wine tasting, and we’re bringing that same energy to this live event.

What’s included in my ticket?

Your ticket gets you a guided tasting of Old World vs New World wines (reds, whites, and maybe a rosé or two), plus plenty of banter, laughs, and a relaxed night out.

Will there be food?

The Smugglers at The Queens Head offers food you can order on the night, but the ticket price covers the wine tasting only. They will also be offering charcuterie & cheese boards to purchase on the night, curated to help amplify the flavours of your wines.

Can I buy the wines we taste?

Yes! We’ll have wines available to purchase on the night so you can take your favourites home - perfect for gifting at Christmas!
