General Rules & Force Building

  • Each player must bring one force up to a value of 750 points (PV) that contains units/rules that are permitted up to the end of the Clan Invasion Era (3061). Force Builder Website – Master Unit List
  • Unit selections should be as lore-accurate as possible for your chosen faction (using the Master Unit List). For example, the Locust LCT-1L is only available to the Capellan Confederation. In addition to your chosen faction list, Inner Sphere forces may use Inner Sphere General, Invading Clan forces may use IS Clan General, and Homeworld Clan forces may use HW Clan General.
  • No more than two of the same BattleMech/OmniMech chassis (including variants) may be in the same 750 PV list.
  • No more than one point of protomechs (5) may be within the same list.
  • No more than two pairs of the same ground vehicle chassis (including variants) may be in the same list.
  • No more than two artillery units may be included within the same list.
  • Aerospace units are permitted provided the controlling player fully understands the Aerospace rules and is willing to explain them to their opponent. Each force is limited to one Aerospace squadron.
  • All forces must follow the standard force building structure & rules (from page 110-124), all formation types must be selected from the Commanders Edition rulebook (page 116-121).
  • Special Commander Abilities (page 102-109) - Each force may include no more than one SCA, provided the force is rated "Regular" or better (to work this out refer to Page 102). Forces rated "Green" or lower may not include an SCA. You may ONLY select an SCA from the Commanders Edition rulebook.
  • Please email your force list to jdevents98@gmail.com no later than April 1st 2026. This is to confirm your force complies with the event rules.
  • You must bring a printed copy of your force list. We recommend using the Alpha Strike cards from the Master Unit List website.
  • If you and your opponent cannot agree on a rule, either roll-off to decide the outcome or ask the Tournament Organiser (Joshua) whose decision is final.
  • Painted forces are strongly encouraged where possible (not enforced). It adds to the immersion of the game.
