Join us for some summertime drinks and networking this July at Venue 28 on Croydon Road.
We'll be hearing from BBA member Lucy Kebbell of The WIP on how you can understand and take action to reduce your business's impact on the planet.
Lucy says: "Every business, no matter its size, has an impact on people and planet. And with 5.6m SMEs in the UK, there is exciting potential for collaborative action towards Net Zero and social impact goals when we all do our bit.
"Understanding your impact is the first step, followed by identifying your values, before taking action and communicating these actions. Once you are empowered through the benefits of sustainability in your business, action feels easier and even exciting.
"So, let's be stronger together!"
As well as hearing from Lucy, there'll also be plenty of time to network informally with other attendees.
Drinks will be provided.
BBA Members: please check your email for your unique member code before you get your tickets! If you've not had it, please let us know.
About Lucy Kebbell, Founder of The WIP
Following a 10 year career in luxury fashion media, and a stint freelancing as a digital marketing & social media manager, Lucy pivoted to work directly with small businesses in the impact space and founded The WIP.
She believes that small, imperfect actions, done at scale are the key to achieving Net Zero and reaching social justice goals.
Lucy is a speaker, workshop facilitator, business mentor and consultant, working with business organisations, local authorities and graduate services. She is also a writer and lives in South East London with her partner, two children and one ungrateful cat.
About The WIP
The WIP empowers small business founders and purpose-driven entrepreneurs to tap into their potential and build successful businesses that are a force for good. Because real change won't come from big corporations or those in power - it will come from small business founders like you.
But you can't do it alone, you need collaboration, the knowledge of industry experts and an inspiring community of like-minded people to support you along the way.
The WIP also offers free resources, an Expert Directory and a Funding Opportunities Database. More info: https://thewip.work/
