Bobby C. Martin Jr. is founding member of design and brand agency - Champions Bobby has guided the culture and sets a relentless standard of design and vision for the firm. Since founding the company with Jennifer Kinon in 2010, he has partnered with a wide range of clients such as the Girl Scouts of the USA, MTV, The New York Times, the National Basketball Association and the Studio Museum in Harlem to ensure their growth and creative goals.
Previously, Bobby led an internal design team for Nokia in London where he oversaw brand identity across their global packaging range. He also served as design director of Jazz at Lincoln Center, working with Artistic Director Wynton Marsalis to reach new audiences and bring the brand to life.
In 2017, Fast Company named Bobby one of the Most Creative People in Business. He served on the board of the Type Directors Club from 2015-2019 and served on the board of AIGA/NY from 2006-08.
He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and earned an MFA from the School of Visual Arts where he is also faculty.
