You're invited to participate in the “BD Endowment Fund Design Workshop” which is the first opportunity for you and other members of the community to get involved in shaping Barking and Dagenham's new Endowment Fund.

The endowment comes from a fee (called the Community Infrastructure Levy) paid by developers of new building projects in the area, collected by the Council, and held by BD Giving. The fund will be invested and added to, and the return will be used to fund community projects.

Agenda

At the workshop we will:

1. Get a brief introduction to the spectrum of different options available to investors

2. Discuss the principles, direction of travel, and governance mechanism that will underpin the Community endowment fund

3. Offer ways to stay involved as the work progresses.

The workshop will be run on Zoom and you only need a device and internet connection to take part.
