Overview

Our scientists are inviting children and their families to learn about the brain.

Be a Brain Explorer is an event targeted at primary school-age children, designed to engage and inspire them to explore neuroscience through hands-on, interactive activities.

After a successful run as part of Cardiff Science Festival, we will be running this event independently (funded by the Hodge Foundation) during the school summer holidays on both Friday 7th and Saturday 15th August with a morning and afternoon session on each day.

We have a large range of activities including:

  • arts and crafts
  • ask a scientist
  • be a brain surgeon
  • pipette like a scientist
  • brain dome bouncy castle
  • VR MRI experience
