About this event

Are you looking to improve your skills in presenting both yourself and your research in an online world? MDS PERCAT and EPS & LES PERCAT are joining together to repeat their popular workshop on best practice in online presenting.

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has resulted in changes to the ways in which many conferences, events and interviews are delivered. Many of these events, in some form, are going fully online and are asking researchers to present their talks virtually. Many research groups and Centres for Doctoral Training are doing the same and requiring that research data be presented virtually. This webinar (with pre-thinking to help you get the most from the time) will focus on best practice in presenting virtually – regardless of the platform used. And who knows; in a few years, all conferences might be held this way!

The webinar will be delivered by Steve Hutchinson from Hutchinson Training and Development.

Please note that this workshop does not cover the technical aspects of online presenting, for example how to use different online platforms. If you are looking for further support in this area please visit the knowledge base within the IT Services portal.

Who is this seminar aimed at?

All researchers within EPS, LES and MDS who will need to present their research in an online environment.

What will you learn from this seminar?

• How to develop the skills to make powerful presentations.
