Session 3: Build a Brand That Speaks Before You Do

Learn How to Show Up Online with Confidence and Clarity

Overview:
Your online presence is often the first impression you make so what is it saying about you? In this session, you’ll explore how to build your personal or business brand from scratch.

You’ll learn:
✅ How to create a simple brand board/Instagram profile using Canva
✅ Build or refine your social media profile
✅ Set up a basic one-page website or digital portfolio

Perfect for:
Side hustlers, new business owners, job seekers, or anyone starting to build their online voice.

Whether you’re thinking about a career move, upskilling, or simply feeling more independent with tech - this session is a safe, inclusive place to begin.

Be Courageous with Technology is a fully funded programme that helps women and young people from underrepresented backgrounds, to build confidence using digital tools in a way that feels relevant, practical, and empowering. No coding. No jargon. Just real-life applications.

Do I need any tech experience to attend this taster session?

Absolutely not! This session is specifically designed for beginners or those who feel anxious around technology. We'll start from the basics and create a supportive environment for learning.

Is the event really free?

Yes, the session is completely free of charge. This programme is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. Our aim is to make digital skills accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances.

Will this be a very technical session?

We focus on practical, accessible learning rather than complex technical concepts. You'll get hands-on experience with everyday technology in ways that build confidence and skills you can use immediately.

What if I don't have a laptop?

We will provide computers for everyone to use during the session. You don't need to bring any devices with you.

Will refreshments be provided?

Light refreshments and tea/coffee will be available during the session.

How many people will be attending?

We limit attendance to 10 participants to ensure everyone receives personalized attention and support.

What if I register but can't attend?

Please let us know as soon as possible if you can't attend, as we often have a waiting list. You can cancel your registration through Eventbrite or by contacting us directly.

Can I attend if I don't identify as a woman or from an underserved background?
