Be Empowered will reflect on how managers and business owners reflect on their own abilities and how to harness the positivity from their teams through their own actions as leaders. The session will be split into two sections, one on self and one on team.
Lynda Stoddart - Lynda's career path lies in both front and back-office people facing rolls. She started her career in hotels completing a 4-year management training program within the Hilton International Group after which she managed a variety of F&B outlets within 5-star establishments with her final position being F&B manager at the Caledonian Hotel in the west end of Edinburgh. After falling pregnant Lynda opted to move out of the long hours and high-pressure role pivoting into a career within HR which she remained in for 25 years with her last position being that of HR Director for a national Telecoms company.
Two years ago Lynda selected redundancy on completion of a successful merger with an International Telco organisation Lynda now spends her time coaching new and aspiring managers to gain traction in their roles, and is the founder of Take to the Water which offers wild swimming experiences including wellbeing in water, mini adventures and leadership in nature programs.
