Affordable street food, banging DJs, flavours and beats! Truro Nourish Hub bring their brilliant Beats & Eats to Coronation Park for a day-into-evening celebration of nourishing food and great music.

Families are welcome from midday for a relaxed afternoon of tasty food and chilled tunes. Then from 7pm, the vibe shifts up a gear as the DJs take over for the grown-ups. Book now for alfresco Caribbean street food, ice cold drinks and a global soundtrack to get you up and dancing.

What's on the menu?

Afternoon (from 12pm) - Caribbean Buddha Bowls
Build-your-own bowls packed with island flavour - naturally vegan, gluten-free friendly, with jerk chicken available too.

Buddha Bowl - coconut or turmeric rice, jerk-roasted veg, black beans, mango salsa, avocado, pickled slaw and all the trimmings - £6 adults/£4 children

Evening (from 7pm) - Caribbean Street Food Wraps
Bold, soft-wrapped street food to fuel the dancefloor.

Jerk Chicken Wrap - slow-marinated jerk chicken, fresh slaw and mango-pineapple salsa or crispy belly pork wrap - spiced belly pork, tangy slaw and a chilli jam or jerk glaze + a side of spicy Caribbean rice or fried plantain - £13

On the day: tropical fruit pots, Caribbean cake and homemade juices (sorrel, pineapple, ginger) will be available to buy from the Truro Nourish Hub team — no need to book these, just grab them as you go.

Booking encouraged! Food is freshly prepared in small batches, so booking your bowl or wrap in advance means you won't miss out.

Who are Truro Nourish Hub?

Through the Truro Community Kitchen, the Truro Nourish Hub share the art of cooking and sharing affordable, healthy, and delicious meals — a skill that goes beyond the kitchen. The small team are dedicated to building connections, embracing diverse cultures, and fostering a sense of belonging. As their support family expands, so does their commitment to providing more than just recipes; as a CIC the Truro Nourish Hub is about nurturing growth and empowerment. Join them on this heartfelt journey as they build a community across Cornwall that’s not just about meals but about lifting each other higher.

  • Family-friendly event from 12pm.
  • Adult event from 7pm.

What do I need to know?

  • This open-air event takes place in Events Square, directly outside Lakeside Cafe at Coronation Park, Helston, TR13 0RA.
  • Outdoor events will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions, so please dress for the Cornish weather and bring a coat. Please don't bring umbrellas as they block the view for other audience members.
  • There is a small pay and display car park at Coronation Park — all proceeds support the running of the park. There is a larger pay and display car park at Castle Green. Free parking is available at the nearby Fairground car park.
  • There is level access to Coronation Park and Events Square. If you have any additional access needs that you'd like to discuss with us, please email Guy at guy@lovehelston.co.uk.
  • There are accessible toilets at the rear of Lakeside Cafe.
  • Events may be filmed or photographed and the material may be used by the South Kerrier Alliance CIC and its partner companies/organisations for evaluation, promotion or other projects. Please make sure everyone in your party is aware of this.
  • Tickets are non-refundable.
