About this event

Being a charity Trustee today is a responsible role. What are you obliged to do? What are you allowed to do (or not)? And did you know that you have recently been given some more freedoms ... so it might be useful to know how to use them wisely?

If you would like answers to all these questions, please join us for a day's in-person workshop on 15 November. The workshop's theme: Becoming a Trusted Trustee. We will cover your legal obligations and liabilities, how Trustees operate, what your leadership role looks like and what constitutes good governance. There will be round-table networking and table-top exercises as well as training segments. You will also get a workbook to take away as a reference tool.

Your facilitator for the day will be Astrid Davies, who worked with the Island's voluntary sector for a decade and who now runs her own leadership consultancy from the New Forest.
