Designed and endorsed by NHS-England, our Becoming Simulation Faculty course is aimed at anyone who is inexperienced in instructing simulation-based education but enthusiastic to gain the skills in designing, delivering and debriefing simulation. This course focuses on low fidelity simulation, and how to create an effective learning experience when time, number of learners, space and equipment are limited.

Highlights/objective’s:

• To understand simulation in context as an educational method

• To gain insight into how to create realism and an effective learning experience with low tech manikins and minimal equipment

• To gain initial skills in designing and delivering simulation

• To learn techniques for safe, effective debriefing

• To put into practice the skills you have learnt in a safe learning environment- design, deliver and debrief a ‘mini sim’ for members of the faculty and receive feedback in a strucrured and reflective discussion

Please note this course consists of 6-8 hours of pre-learning followed by one full day of face-to-face teaching.

Target audience:

Anyone who is enthusiastic about simulation and interested in gaining the essential skills to be able to deliver simulation in their place of work.
