How long can we stay ?

Accepted Answer

There is no rush. However, visitors generally stay for around 90 mins which ensures that families can have an equal chance to enjoy  the day

Is it really free to attend ?

Yes, the event is designed to allow kids to have a fun learning and activity session with no obligation to spend any money. The only paid for activity is the face paining as we have to pay an approved specialist for this activity .  Paid refreshments are available  and donations kindly accepted.

Is parking available ?

Accepted Answer

We encourage visitors to walk or cycle to the venue. However, free parking is available on the main road . If driving please park there and walk down the "off road" track to the Discovery Centre.  Look out for the BuzzWorks flag. Disabled parking can be arranged in advance. Please get in touch

What age group is the event for ?

Accepted Answer

The activities are targeted at kids from the age of four upwards. However, visitors of all ages can enjoy the event and learn something new.

Question 5

Are there bees around ?

Accepted Answer

Yes BuzzWorks is a working apiary and learning centre and we have four hives on site. We recommend that visitors refrain from washing in or wearing perfumed  products on the day.  Long sleeved tops and trousers are advised but not essential.  Viewing areas are available to get close to the hives.
