Beekeeping Taster Session

A half-day practical hands-on taster session for those who are interested in honeybees, are considering doing a beekeeping course but want to know more and have experienced the live bee environment before committing to a course.

We start with tea, cake and a general introduction before getting you into a bee suit and moving into our training apiary where you will experience handling bees safely in small groups.

Our expert beekeepers are on hand to guide you, keep you safe and answer any questions you might have.

You just need to bring wellies/ankle-covering boot, clean marigold type gloves and wear sensible long trousers and shirt sleeves to make sure you’re properly covered up. We will provide the rest of the kit and ensure your first adventure with bees is a happy one!
