Beezy Bailey Book Launch and Performance

Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) is a not-for-profit institution that exhibits, collects, preserves and researches contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora; conceives and hosts international exhibitions; develops supporting educational, discursive and enrichment programmes; encourages intercultural understanding; and strives for access for all.The museum’s galleries feature rotating, temporary exhibitions with a dedicated space for the permanent collection. The institution also includes the Centre for Art Education, the Centre for the Moving Image, and a Project Space for emerging artists. It opened to the public in September 2017.

Zeitz MOCAA

Zeitz MOCAA invites you to a performance and launch of Beezy Bailey's new publication.
 Published by CIRCA Press, this monograph, with introduction by Brian Eno and essays by Richard Cork, art historian, and Roslyn Sulcas, culture writer for the New York Times, offers a glimpse into the multi-hued and ever expansive world of Beezy Bailey. We find an artist set alight by the need to find expression for his creativity, illustrated here by work from more than three decades and across the entire range of his creative output.
Beezy Bailey (born 21 July 1962 in Johannesburg, South Africa) is a South African artist who works in various media, including painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking and ceramics.
