Beginner pole fitness taster class
Ever wanted to try poledancing? No strength or previous experience necessary as we will gradually build this up
I am starting a new class in Central London (Soho) for complete beginners. No strength or previous experience necessary as we will gradually build this up.
Before you know it you will be doing things you have never thought possible!
What is pole dancing?
Pole is a dance-based movement practice that becomes whatever you want it to be. It can be powerful and athletic, soft and flowy, playful, sensual, artistic, or a mix of everything. There’s no single “right” way to do pole — it’s a creative space where you get to explore movement in a way that feels authentic to you. For me it changes based on my mood that day, some days I just want to do strength tricks and some days I want to do flowy dance sequences. It is also a fun way to stay fit. Entirely up to you.
It’s also brilliant for your body and mind. You build strength naturally through the movements, improve mobility, coordination, and body awareness, and develop confidence. One small step at a time, it becomes a practice that’s fun, empowering, and completely shaped by your own style and goals.
What the class is like:
These sessions are designed for complete beginners, so we’ll focus on building confidence, strength, and learning the fundamentals safely. Each class includes a warm-up, followed by 2-3 tricks that we will learn per class, and after a few initial sessions we will also start at the end of class to try to put the tricks we learned together into a short combination.
My background:
I’m a mixed-discipline aerialist, and these sessions are designed specifically for beginners. No strength or experience needed — we start with simple movements that build technique, confidence, and flow bit by bit. Everyone learns at their own pace, and the focus is always on celebrating progress rather than perfection. I’m a big believer in cross-training, listening to your body, and training smart so you can keep doing what you love without injuries. My classes are all about active flexibility, mobility, and moving at your pace—because the fastest way to progress is to stay safe, stay consistent, and enjoy the journey.
Class size:
Classes are kept small (max 8 people) so everyone gets their own pole, plenty of support and 1:1 attention when needed.
