Come delve into the wonders of wild food and medicine and learn how our ancestors would have survived on these nutritious plants

The beginners taster foraging workshops have begun!

Foraging means different things for eveyone. For some it is a way to stay healthy and eat with the seasons, some enjoy going and fingding 'free food' while for others, it is a way of Reconnecting to out ancestors way of life and gaining a deeper connection with nature and all her gifts.

These hour long workshops are the perfect gateway into wild plant identification and getting a feel for whether foraging is for you and if you'd like to join one of the longer forage days.

We will meet in Bute Park Cardiff - inside the stone circle which is just down from the Pettigrew tea rooms- before wandering through the park identifying, picking and tasting different kinds of wild edibles and medicinals. You will learn how to identify a range of different plants and medicinal and practical uses they have.


Please bring...

• appropriate clothing

• a basket or bag if you wish to forage anything to take home

• Notepad and pen

• water


if you like these taster workshops, there will also be 3 hour workshops to go more indepth and cover a wider variety of plants
