Overview

Get started on your woodworking journey with this introduction to joints and joinery!

Begin your woodworking journey by making a 4-joint frame. Learn the building blocks that will set you off into a world of furniture making and creativity.

You will learn:
- How to use a square and marking gauge to mark out joints.
- How to saw and chisel.
- Dovetail, tee joint, mortice and tenon, and bridle joints.

If you get through the first tasks, you can move on to practising more advanced joints including a mitred half lap, box dovetail, and castle joint.

All tools, materials, and PPE are provided, as well as tea and biscuits at break time.

Please bring a packed lunch, or there are lots of shops and restaurants a 5-10 minute walk away.
