Stitch-Up is an innovative social enterprise dedicated to teaching, showcasing and promoting textile craft and makers in a modern world.We are a collective of talented and local makers and designers bringing you modern, fresh and exciting workshops, events and community projects to engage and inspire people of all ages and abilities to learn a valuable new craft skill.As well as focusing on the practical benefits of learning a craft we also believe in the power of making time for craft and creativity on improving everyday wellbeing, bringing people together and helping you to develop really valuable life skills.As a community interest company we are dedicated to reinvesting any surplus profit back into community projects, supporting makers and making opportunities to learn a new craft accessable to all. Learn to knit this Christmas!
We've brought back our popular Beginners Knitting workshop this festive season to help you take that leap into learning to Knit and giving you the skills to hand make some of your christmas gifts this year! Knitting is such a fun and versatile skill to learn and there are so many things that you can make once youve learnt a few basic stitches.
In this workshop we will start from the very beginning and you will learn everything you need to know to get started on knitting your very own scarf using gorgeous chunky needles. We will send you off with all the skills and confidence you need to finish your scarf at home and make more as gifts or get started on a different project. Knitting is also a great hobby to have to help you relax and look after your everyday wellbeing.
You will receive a kit containing needles, pattern and enough wool to make your scarf which you can take home with you. 
We look forward to welcoming you to our cosy and relaxing textile studio and included in your ticket is tea, coffee and some festive sweet treats. 
The workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those wanting to refresh their skills.
