Beginners Upcycling Workshop

Join us for a beginner's Upcycle Workshop, where you can bring your existing garments and learn the basics of reworking them.

Learn how to:

• How to thread an industrial sewing machine
• Learn different stitches and tensions
• How to shorten and hem a trouser or skirt by hand (Woven and Jersey)
• How to shorten and hem a trouser or skirt on a sewing machine (Woven and Jersey)
• Learn about the different fabrics and how they are different in handling
• How to insert a zip, buttons and trims
• Techniques to upcycle an existing garment
• Customisation
• How to tailor an existing garment to your body shape

The FC Designer Workspace is a hub of fashion, with resident studio designers, fashion students and creatives occupying the space everyday of the week. The Workspace is a creative community for everyone.

• Skill Level: Beginner-friendly
• No prior experience is required
• Must be over 16 years old

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the start of the workshop to receive a refund. Unfortunately, cancellations made within 48 hours will not be eligible for a refund.
