Behind the Studio Door

With support from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Belfast City Council, QSS provide affordable studios for professional artists in Belfast. Our artist members deliver a diverse range of public facing activities locally, across the UK and internationally, all supported by their-studio centred practice. Closer to home our artists foster links with the wider community via a range on in-house events; from guided tours and workshops through to exhibitions and open days.

QSS Artist Studios

As Queen Street Studios marks its 40th anniversary, we are delighted to announce a special open day, ‘Behind the Studio Door’, on 26 October 2024.We invite you to take a look behind the studio doors of some of Belfast’s brightest emerging and established artists. Visitors are free to explore the studios independently (between 11.30am and 5pm) or join one of three guided tours to hear a select number of artists talk about their processes and influences.We can take a maximum of 15 people on each tour. Please book your place here to avoid disappointment. Whilst the majority of the exhibiting artists are current studio holders (including Susan Connolly, Amanda Coogan, Joy Gerrard, Sharon Kelly, Mark McGreevy and Jennifer Trouton), works by a number of past members from across the last four decades have also been included.We do hope you can join us and get to know the very talented artists in your community!
