Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC)is the County Voluntary Council (CVC) for Cardiff – the umbrella infrastructure organisation for the third sector in the City.C3SC’s key role is to provide specialist advice, support, and information to local third sector organisations on issues that affect them, including funding and governance.C3SC is the voice of the third sector in Cardiff. It facilitates third sector representation on strategic partnerships, including the Cardiff Partnership Board and its Programme Boards and Workstreams. An online training session for new and existing Trustees in Cardiff to learn more about best practice in governance.

This training course will help new and existing Trustees improve their understanding of how best to run their groups and organisations.The aims and objectives of the course are that attendees:<ul><li>Understand the key principles of governance</li><li>Understand how trustees as a board are collectively responsible and accountable for ensuring that the organisation is well-run</li><li>Understand the roles and responsibilities of the Board in good governance</li><li>Be aware of good practice guidance in relation to governance</li></ul>The event will take place on Teams and the link will be sent through the day prior to the event.Participants are invited to bring their organisation's governing document to the session, if available.For any further enquiry contact C3SC on 02920 485722 or enquiries@c3sc.org.uk
