Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC)is the County Voluntary Council (CVC) for Cardiff – the umbrella infrastructure organisation for the third sector in the City.C3SC’s key role is to provide specialist advice, support, and information to local third sector organisations on issues that affect them, including funding and governance.C3SC is the voice of the third sector in Cardiff. It facilitates third sector representation on strategic partnerships, including the Cardiff Partnership Board and its Programme Boards and Workstreams. An online training session for new and existing Trustees  in  Cardiff to learn more about best practice in governance, delivered by C3SC

Being a Trustee will help new and existing Trustees improve their understanding of best practice in governance.The aims and objectives of the course are that attendees: <ul><li>Understand the key principles of governance</li><li>Understand how trustees as a board are collectively responsible and accountable for ensuring that the organisation is well-run</li><li>Understand the roles and responsibilities of the Board in good governance</li><li>Be aware of good practice guidance in relation to governance</li></ul>The event will be taking place on Teams or Zoom and the link will be sent through within 24 hours of the event taking place.Participants are advised to bring their organisation's governing document to the session, if available.For more information or any further enquiry please contact C3SC on 07973725335 or enquiries@c3sc.org.uk
