Join us on a half-day workshop where we explore how to be embodied and present through breath and movement in a world where disembodiment and disconnection prevail.

In the tranquil setting of the Loft in central Brighton, we will take you on a guided journey of ancient breath and moving meditation techniques to connect with the innate wisdom, intelligence and aliveness of our [human] being.

As humans we are part of diverse ecosystems, always in relation with our environment, but along the way we’ve forgotten something of our essential, interconnected, interdependent natures. Through yoga and breathwork, we will reconnect, and explore tools to bridge the illusive divide of body and mind.

In the first part of this workshop, we will take the time to ground in the present moment and find balance through a 90 minute yin and yang yoga flow. We will activate and strengthen the body through a playful yang practice, followed by yin mobility and release.

After a short break, we’ll then move into a conscious connected breathwork journey. In this dynamic practice, the breath goes where it needs to go, and brings movement to what it finds in its path. Old stories and narratives, stuck energy and emotions, that which keeps us separate and small, the breath brings to the surface whatever is ready to be processed, integrated and released in that moment. It is a direct experience of our body’s innate capacity for self healing.

After the breathwork journey, we’ll have an integration circle to share experiences, with tea and nourishing home-made treats, before we finish.
