BELTANE CIRCLE 2024: ‘Creativity and Justice’
Beltane meaning ‘bright fire’ or ‘lucky fire’ is held on or near May 1st and celebrates the start of summer, the crop and pasturing season.
Celebrate the start of summer, creativity and justice in the Maytide.
Join this relaxed, open circle space to mark the arrival of summer and our inner fires of creation and justice
We’ll gather in circle for a simple ritual to connect to the time of year.
This circle space includes the creation of a sacred space honouring the season, sharing of poetry and readings themed to the season, the chance to write or share your own creativity, Beltane and Mayday storytelling, song, poetry, drumming and a meditation to call up our creative and rebellious fires.
A perfect opportunity to join with the natural cycles of the year in our land and in our own lives.
The ritual elements are inspired by the Celtic traditions of the British Isles.
This event is held at our Care Nest wellbeing space in number 35, Genesis Building 235 Union St, Stonehouse, Plymouth PL1 3HN.
There are opportunities to participate and share yourself during the space or to simply observe and be with the group.
If you can, you may like to please bring with you:
* Anything that symbolises Spring/Sumer and Mayday and justice- flowers, ribbons, candles
* Something to write or draw with
* a piece of writing/music etc themed to Mayday, beltane, balance, growth, gratitude
* A drum or rattle if you have one.
( none of these items are essential and some can be provided)
This space is open to all. The event is inspired by the Celtic and Druid traditions but all people of all paths and none are welcome. Please contact us if you have questions you would like to ask in advance
This event is led by Jon Nash, Teacher and Workshop Leader and member of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids and the British Druid Order.
