Welcome to Freshwalks. This classic ramble event is part of our own vibrant business community programme and everyone is welcome to join us for a morning of walking and networking in the great outdoors. Feel free to come alone - most Freshwalkers do - and you'll be warmly welcomed or invite a colleague or client along for company.
Route description
Starting from The Point, Bembridge, this 7.5km circular walk offers a mix of countryside and coastal scenery. Head inland towards the Grade I listed Bembridge Windmill, the island’s only surviving windmill (built around 1700), where we'll pause to enjoy the views. Continue through quiet lanes to Hillway, then turn towards the coast. Pick up the coastal path, following the dramatic shoreline past Black Rock Ledge, a striking stretch of rocky reef and sandy beaches, perfect for spotting seabirds. The path meanders back towards Bembridge Point, where we'll head to The Harbour Kitchen to continue conversations.
