St Edmundsbury CathedralBury Saint Edmunds, England
Tuesday, Feb 17 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm GMT
Overview

In this inaugural Benedict lecture, Abbot Christopher Jamison explores how we might frame the future.

Framing the Future

The future has a history, but does it have a future? In this provocative talk, Abbot Christopher will look at how people have framed their future in the past and how we frame it now. Pessimism is the frame of the future for many people in Britain today. Why? What frame does Christian faith generate?

Dom Christopher Jamison is a monk and currently serves as Abbot President of the English Benedictine Congregation. Born in Australia, he was educated in England and has degrees in Modern Languages, Philosophy and Theology. He is known for his media work and vocations guidance for young people. He is a trustee of CTVC, a media company specialising in religious and ethical content across all platforms. His books include Finding Sanctuary, Finding Happiness and Finding the Language of Grace.
