About this event

MAYDAY! MAYDAY! MAYDAY! For ESPFC Session 4 we're hugely excited to be screening Berberian Sound Studio - Peter Strickland's 2012 masterpiece of sonic psyche cinema . Not only that but Peter will be joining us for a chat and a Q&A and screening more of his work including some very rarely seen shorts.

Please note we're moving to Weds night for this one - bring a melon to smash and your best screaming game.... Along with the usual merch stall, fanzine, lights by Innerstrings and psyche sounds courtesy of our very own Richard Norris - a night not to be missed!

Frequently asked questions

Whats your returns and refunds policy?

As you know these events are selling out really quickly - we will refund tickets (minus the Eventbrite fee) up to a week before the screening - after that we'll refund if we can resell. Its a very small venue so we really need the ticket revenue to cover our basic costs - Hope thats cool!

How are the films screened?

All films are screened either from Blu-Ray or HD file

Is there a bar?

Yes - the bar is hosted by local brewery BEAK serving alcoholic and soft drinks - all delicious!

Is there an age restriction?

That depends on what films we're showing - but generally no-one under the age of 18 will be admitted as we'll be sticking to BBFC certifications

What else happens on the night?

We'll be screening previews of films to come and they'll be psychedelic sounds and visuals as well as a merch table selling odd books, odd films and odd anything else we can find.. T shirts coming!

How comfortable are the seats?

Church pews and folding seats....not bad but It wouldn't be a bad idea to bring a cushion
