About this event
Verifiable Credentials have been mentioned quite frequently in the news in the past few weeks specifically in the context of Covid Credentials and Covid Vaccines. Even though the term has been introduced a couple of years ago, it has been gaining momentum now.
In this session organized by BerChain in collaboration with Affinidi, we will hear from KILT Protocol and Affinidi about the topic and explore the questions below:
What are verifiable credentials?
What is their History?
How can this be used in the context of Covid Credentials?
What could be other potential use cases?
The presentations will be followed by a discussion on the relationship between Blockchain and Verifiable credentials.

About KILT Protocol
KILT is an open-source fat blockchain protocol for issuing claim-based verifiable, revocable, and anonymous credentials in the Web 3.0. It allows end users to claim arbitrary attributes about themselves, get them attested by trusted entities, and store the claims as self-sovereign credentials (certificates). As trusted entities can issue credentials in return for money, KILT aims to foster new business models for anyone who owns trust or wants to build up trust.
