The Berkeley Ensemble make their debt in Potton, Hertfordshire with a typically eclectic programme.

The Berkeley Ensemble is delighted to bring a typically eclectic programme of ensemble favourites to Potton. Oliver Knussen - Secret Psalm; Poulenc - Sonata for clarinet and bassoon; Lennox Berkeley - String Trio; Nielsen - Serenata in Vano; Beethoven - Septet in E flatBeethoven's Seminal Septet is proceeded by Nielsen's Serenata in Vano, for the unusual instrumentation of clarinet, bassoon, horn, cello and double bass. The ensemble's commitment to British music is also evident, with the inclusion of Lennox Berkeley's String Trio, and Oliver Knussen's meditative Secret Psalm for solo violin.Tickets - £15. Free tickets available for Under 26s with support from the CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust. The ensemble are also grateful to Potton Consolidated Charities for their support of this event. N.B. COVID-19 – Audience members will be required to provide proof of vaccination OR of a negative Lateral Flow test result taken within the previous 24 hours on entry to gain admission.
