Join us at Sky Betting & Gaming on Wednesday 22nd March for the 1st Bet tribe tech talk of the year, for an evening of talks and discussion. You will also have a chance to see the brand new office in the heart of Leeds City Centre.

 ‘A look at what the motivations are behind this sentiment and what this really means to the people saying it, their manager and team.’ 
 “Modernising our App with Typescript” - James Moorhouse
 ‘What is Typescript, why you might want to use it, and how we used it to refactor the Sky Bet ‘My Bets’ codebase. A look at the technical detail, and the complexities of refactoring projects’ 
 “How I ended up automating my curtains and shouting at my laptop” - Luke Bonaccorsi
 ‘Automation is amazing. By automating things we do every day we can make our lives easier and more efficient. I've spent chunks of my free time over the past couple of years building an automation system using JavaScript and in this talk I'll share my progress, my reasons for doing it and what I'd like to do with it in the future. Hopefully I'll inspire you to embrace automation in your daily life’

"Functional JS Bingo" - Ian Thomas
 ‘Ian will take a fast paced look into functional programming techniques in JavaScript. Picking random topics from his FP JS Bingotron, keep your dobbers and your dabbers and your dibbers handy as there’s prizes for corners, lines and a full house.’
